HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HEALING: LEARN TO MAKE ENERGY MEDICINE, WRITE YOUR OWN PRESCRIPTION AND DECIDE YOURSELF WHEN TO ADMINISTER IT, AND FOR HOW LONG.
It is a delight to be sharing self-healing practices with clients and students here in Northern California, including a wonderful group healing session at the Veterans Administration Center in Sacramento. My adaptation of the marvelous LIFT CHI UP / POUR CHI DOWN method (the innovation of Dr. Pang Ming) has proved to be an extremely effective method for relieving stress and releasing pain. A slow, gentle and easy guided movement meditation, it can be done standing or seated. Effects of regular practice include mind/body relaxation, a stronger immune system, more mental clarity and emotional stability, and the experience of feeling at one with life. This practice is a tool toward Self-SustainAbility--accessing our inner resources to awaken Compassion and Gratitude and bring about enhanced wellness, joy, balance and longevity. What more could you wish for?
Our volunteer healing program brought stress relief and smiles to refugees of 3.11.11
Continuing our commitment to assist those displaced by the on-going effects of the triple disaster of 3.11.11, we will be returning to Japan in September (2013). Plans are being put in place to offer our Program once again to the refugees living in "temporary" housing in Aizu Wakamatsu. There will also be an event to introduce HEALING WITH CHI in Fukushima City, and perhaps elsewhere. News from the nuclear plant is dire. Contaminated water is leaking into the ocean at astronomical levels daily. Stress levels for those living in the N.E. of Japan continue to rise. There is fear of having to evacuate even the interim residences. Easing this stress through various methods, using CHI/KI (energy), we know we can be of help. We are still hoping that the necessary funding to continue our service will manifest. I often speak about the effects on health caused by our emotional responses to the stresses which appear in our lives. Stress has been linked to heart attack, stroke, cancer, depression. It can affect our digestion and metabolism in a way that leads to weight gain and diabetes —The list of the effects of unmanaged stress is a mile long. Western scientific research has proven the value of QiGong--a relaxation method--to reduce stress, improve cardiovascular, respiratory circulation, lymph and digestive function, strengthen the immune system, which help maintain health into old age, and helping to restore it at any age! This reveals the powerful alchemy therein. Supporting a positive outlook, and using the power of our mind’s intention, Qigong brings greater harmony and stability into our experience. It is never too late to begin to learn to manage our stress--safely and effectively. Qigong can be adapted to all levels of wellness and physical ability, and can easily be practiced when sitting in a chair. |
