Performing the slow movement of a Qigong practice, or by relaxing mind/body through seated meditation has been known for millenea to bring about greater longevity. It makes sense when you realize that meditation opens the portal to timelessness; the timelessness of simply being present - being HERE/NOW – HERE/NOW the mind/body rests outside of the space-time continuum. Without the ticking of time or by slowing down the experience of time, all bodily functions, including the aging process slow down.
